Luk Save History

The Luk Save Art Show was created in 2003 by Amanda Adams with Tamzin Wardley and founding artists, Gickmai Kundun, Tom Deko and Alexander Mebri.

Originally created to provide a celebration of Papua New Guinea contemporary culture to commemorate Independence Day, it has grown exponentially to become the National Art show. 2009 saw over 200 pieces presented by more than 60 artists from all around the country.

It is a true reflection of what the PNG art community is delivering and has been the primary financial supporter of this group with over K1.4million being paid directly to artists in this time.
